Appleton AFC

We are a community orientated football club based in south Warrington, having been established by local parents in the season of 1973-74.  This year we have 36 teams spanning 13 age groups from under 7s to under 18s, plus a training academy for the U7s and below.  Girls are welcome to play in any team up to and including U14's, however, in addition, we have numerous girls teams.

We are proud to have attained FA Charter Standard Community Club status in 2012.  All coaches are enthusiastic parents of players and have all passed the FA's Level 1 in Coaching Football accreditation, are CRB vetted and have attended workshops in Child Protection and Emergency Aid training.

We play our matches on 4 pitches in Pewterspear & Appleton (click here for map).  Evening training during the week takes place at New Lane playing fields and Broomfields Leisure Centre (AstroTurf) during winter months.  Our Academy trains on Saturday mornings between 9am and 10am at New Lane again switching to Broomfields Leisure Centre (Sports Hall and Astro Turf) during the winter.

If any boys or girls of any age are interested or would like to know more about playing for us then please contact us.
