New 3G Pitch Open
The brand new 3G pitch at Broomfields Leisure Centre is now open with Appleton AFC as the partner club.
We are delighted that the new 3G pitch at Broomfields is now open and in use.
This FIFA standard pitch will enable us to play more football, on a better surface, all year round. As partner club we the majority of the available weekday evening slots for our use, and have access to play our matches on Saturdays and Sundays.
The celebrate the opening, Isla, Joshua, Olivia and Sebastian were invited to score the first goals.
The £500,000 pitch was funded by grants from the Football Foundation of £358,000 and from Warrington Borough Council of £160,000.
We look forward to many more goals being scored as we use it for training sessions and many of our matches.
