Appleton AFC established in 1974 and one of the largest and community-oriented football clubs in Cheshire. We are proud to be a 3 Star FA accredited community football club (the highest level available).
About Appleton AFC
Appleton AFC is a volunteer run organisation that operates as a non-profit CIO with a clear mission to provide access to football for all ages and abilities in a safe, supportive and fun environment. The club is a foundation that continues to provide a legacy to the local football community.
There are currently over 900 children (boys and girls, aged from under 5 to under 18) registered as Appleton AFC players across 56 youth teams playing in various leagues. These include Warrington Junior Football League, Cheshire Girls League, Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League and the Inspire League.
Success is measured not just by trophies – but more importantly by the smiles on the faces of the thousands of children that have been through Appleton AFC fondly remembering their experiences with their friends and coaches.
A shared journey
All Appleton AFC coaches are parents/guardians of the players – What better way to grow with your son or daughter and share the journey– than to become a coach.
As an Appleton AFC coach, you will supported through your FA coaching qualifications and get hands on experience coaching your child and their peers.
All our volunteer coaches will complete DBS vetting, Safeguarding (Child Protection) qualifications and are supported to at least FA level 1. Many coaches continue to attaining their UEFA C Licence.
We supplement parent coaching by using paid, experienced coaches to further develop and challenge both players and coaches.
