Girl’s football has been identified as one of the FA’s principal growth areas and something we definitely embrace. Appleton AFC is a girls’ football team that prides itself on creating a positive and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels.
Girls Football 5-18yrs
Founded with the goal of promoting participation in the sport among girls, we’re proud to be one of the largest girls clubs in Cheshire.
Appleton Girls Football goes from strength to strength with a squad of around 250+ girls, aged 5-18. With the focus on fun and enabling Girls to enjoy playing football with other girls from the area. We encourage all girls to just enjoy kicking a ball about!
The girls joined the Cheshire Girls League midway through the 15/16 season and now have teams from Under 8 to Under 16. The majority of games for under 8’s to under 12’s are played at a central venue at Moss Farm, Northwich. Under 13 to under 16’s play home and away.
Appleton AFC also joined the Cheshire Women’s & Youth Football League in 2023 , Under 18’s division and now have 3 teams playing at U18.
