Fantastic day for ABAFC at the Man Utd training complex!

80 players from Appleton (U7s-U10s) spent the full day receiving top quality coaching from the Man Utd coaching staff.  Manchester United is a club with a long tradition of developing young footballers, from the Busby Babes in the 1950s to the Class of '92 under Sir Alex Ferguson.  United's dedication to youth development runs throughout the whole club, from the first team, to running a session like this for ABFC.

The expert coaches laid on an action packed day with plenty of fun games, skill sessions, ending with a great mini tournament in which the children got to try out their new moves.  The ABFC coaches felt extremely proud when the Man Utd staff commented that this was the best behaved group of players they had hosted - mums & dads, we are sure that you all share this pride!  Every player gave 100% effort on the day & were so tired on the bus journey home, that some children fell asleep!

Well done to all involved, especially Suzie McKean for organising & to all the children for their enthusiasm and fantastic conduct on the day.  Lets hope that all players take their learnings into the league games!
