Directions: From London Road turn on to Longwood Road (following signs to the Sports Pavilion). Turn right at the first roundabout on to Pewterspear Green Road and then right again at the T-Junction. Follow Pewterspear Green Road to the bend, where access to the Pavilion Car Park is on the left hand side. The pitches are found in front of the Sports Pavilion.

Parking Restrictions: 

• Please park in the Pavilion Car Park. Do not park on the grass. Overflow parking is on Pewterspear Green Road, but please avoid the coned off areas. Please be considerate of our neighbours and do not park on grass verges.
• No access is permitted to the pilates studio if toilets are required please use the mixed toilet in the old changing room (doors marked AAFC Mixed Toilets).
• Any warm ups should be conducted in the warm up areas marked on the map below, absolutely NO warming up on the pitches.
• All spectators, coaches & players for both teams to stand behind the respect ropes which are to be placed where the yellow lines are shown on the map below.
• If playing a 9v9 game on either pitch, then the respect ropes as shown by the yellow lines below MUST be set up back from the 11v11 pitch touchlines i.e. further back than normal so nobody, including coaches and substitutes, are stood/sat on the 11v11 pitch.

Directions: Users for the Roman Road pitch should park near St Matthews School, Stretton. The car park is found on Stretton Road, which is just past St Matthews School if arriving from the Cat and Lion traffic lights. The pitch can be found by walking on the pavement along Stretton Road, in front of the school and then the church, taking a right down a path just after the church. Continue for 100 yards and the pitch opens up on the right hand side. Strictly no access to the Roman Road pitch from the PGT Pavilion car park, pedestrians must be via Pewterspear Green Road or from the Stretton Road car park.

Parking Restrictions: Please park in the car park past the school. Do not park in the small church car park.

Directions: The 3G pitch is behind Broomfields Leisure Centre in Stockton Heath. Turn into Broomfields Road from London Road, just south of Stockton Heath. Go past Bridgewater School and the turning to the Leisure Centre is on the right as the road bends to the left. Parking should only be in the marked bay parking spaces on either side of the Leisure Centre.

3G Pitch Rules:

• The pitch is a modern 3G pitch therefore appropriate footwear must be worn. Football boots with studs are recommended. Boots with blades are not permitted and NO normal (flat soled) trainers.
• Parking should only be in the marked bay parking spaces on either side of the leisure centre, NO parking on the grass or on the access road between the leisure centre building and the pitch. If you do need to park in the streets nearby, please be considerate to the residents.
• No entry into the 3G pitch facility is permitted until people using the pitches before you have vacated the main gates.
• No warming up on the school grass pitches before your allocated match.Boots should be clean before accessing the pitch.
• Please make sure you start on time, finish on time and exit as soon as possible once the game has finished. There will likely be a game on after and there is a fixed length booking for the pitch.
• For players and coaches: If playing on pitch 1, 2 or A then please enter and leave the pitch via Gate A; if playing on pitch 3, 4 or B please enter and leave the pitch via Gate B.
• ONLY Coaches, players and officials are permitted onto the pitches.

Emergency Access Plan

In the event of an emergency then the following information can be vital.

• Pitch Location: Broomfields Leisure Centre, Broomfields Road, Appleton, Warrington, WA4 3AE
• First Aider: All qualified Appleton AFC coaches have the appropraite FA Emergency Aid training. All away coaches should have the same qualifications.
• Defibrillator: There is a defibrillator attached to the outside of the pitch facing the car park. Call 999 to get the code to access the device
• Stretcher: There is a stretcher in the Leisure Centre by the pool - please ask the staff for access.
• Ambulance access: There is no access onto the pitch with an ambulance. The space outside of the gates of the pitch is reserved for emergency vehicles.
• Nearest A&E: Warrington General Hospital, Warrington, WA5 1QG - about 15 minutes in a car in normal traffic.

Parking Restrictions: Please park in the marked bay parking spaces on either side of the leisure centre. Overflow parking is in the school next door.

Directions: The pitch is accessed from London Road on to Longwood Road and then right at the first roundabout in to Pewterspear Green Road. Turn left at the T-Junction and follow Pewterspear Green Road to the right hand bend, where parking is on the road adjacent to the playing field.

Access to Pitch

Directions: The New Lane site is just north of the village of Appleton Thorn, south of Warrington. The easiest way to describe it is from the centre of Appleton Thorn. Head along Lumb Brook Road from the Thorn Inn in Appleton Thorn and the car park entrance is about 400 yards along on the right.

Parking Resrictions: Parking is limited on the site. Please car share wherever possible to reduce the number of cars on site. You can park in the village, either at the pub or the village hall, and it is a short walk to the field. Please take care on the road and remember that children are under your responsibility when not on the pitch. Any parking on the main road may be subject to parking enforcement action. Do not park across any residents driveways. Your cooperation is appreciated with this.

Spectator Guidance:

• Respect ropes must be placed as marked by the yellow lines on the may below.
• All spectators, coaches & players for both teams must stand where the yellow lines are marked on the map relative to pitch A & pitch B. Only one linesperson is allowed on the opposite touchline to the respect ropes.

Directions: The 3G pitch is located at Sandymoor Ormiston Academy.

3G Pitch Rules:

• The pitch is a modern 3G pitch therefore appropriate footwear must be worn. Football boots with studs are recommended, and astroturf trainers are also allowed. Boots with blades are not permitted and NO normal (flat soled) trainers.
• Please report to the reception desk upon arrival.
• No entry into the 3G pitch facility is permitted until people using the pitches before you have vacated the pitch, entry and exit is now by the red line and not blue line.
• No warming up on the grass pitches before your allocated match/training session.
• Please make sure you start on time, finish on time and exit immediately the game or training session has finished.
• NO Dogs are allowed on any part of the school site.
• ALL spectators MUST only watch games or training sessions from inside the 3G viewing area on the same side as the tennis courts.
