Roman Road Pitch

Roman Road Pitch

Directions: Users for the Roman Road pitch should park near St Matthews School, Stretton. The car park is found on Stretton Road, which is just past St Matthews School if arriving from the Cat and Lion traffic lights. The pitch can be found by walking on the pavement along Stretton Road, in front of the school and then the church, taking a right down a path just after the church. Continue for 100 yards and the pitch opens up on the right hand side.

COVID-19 Conditions:

  • Strictly no access to the Roman Road pitch from the PGT Pavilion car park, it must be via Pewterspear Green Road or from the Stretton Road car park.
  • AAFC spectators should be on one side of the pitch and visiting spectators on the opposite side. Respect ropes will be utilised to ensure spectators are away from the pitch.
  • Please read the club venue rules should which are displayed to spectators on both sides of the pitch.
  • Slightly more times than normal will be allocated between matches to assist in reducing crossover.

Parking Restrictions: Please park in the car park past the school. Do not park in the small church car park.

Pavilion Pitches

Pavilion Pitches

Directions: From London Road turn on to Longwood Road (following signs to the Sports Pavilion). Turn right at the first roundabout on to Pewterspear Green Road and then right again at the T-Junction. Follow Pewterspear Green Road to the bend, where access to the Pavilion Car Park is on the left hand side. The pitches are found in front of the Sports Pavilion.

COVID-19 Conditions:

  • Entry to the pitches is via the small path from the centre of the car park. Please see the Entry signs and the light blue arrows on the layout below.
  • Exiting the pitches after matches should be via the one-way system to the right of the pavilion which takes you behind the pavilion and back onto the car park. Please see the Exit signs and the red arrows on the layout below.
  • AAFC spectators should be on one side of the pitch and visiting spectators on the opposite side. Respect ropes will be utilised to ensure spectators are away from the pitch.
  • Please read the club venue rules should which are displayed to spectators on both sides of the pitch.
  • Slightly more times than normal will be allocated between matches to assist in reducing crossover.

Parking Restrictions: Please park in the Pavilion Car Park. Do not park on the grass. Overflow parking is on Pewterspear Green Road, but please avoid the coned off areas. Please be considerate of our neighbours and do not park on grass verges.

Village Pond Pitch

Directions: The pitch is accessed from London Road on to Longwood Road and then right at the first roundabout in to Pewterspear Green Road. Turn left at the T-Junction and follow Pewterspear Green Road to the right hand bend, where parking is on the road adjacent to the playing field.

  • Enter Village Pond pitch as shown by the blue arrow and leave as shown via the red arrow
  • AAFC spectators should be on one side of the pitch and visiting spectators on the opposite side. Respect ropes will be utilised to ensure spectators are away from the pitch.

  • Slightly more times than normal will be allocated between matches to assist in reducing crossover.

Parking Restrictions: Please park considerately along Pewterspear Green Road near to the pitch. Do not park in the adjacent residential roads.

New Lane Pitches

New Lane Pitches

Directions: The New Lane site is just north of the village of Appleton Thorn, south of Warrington. The easiest way to describe it is from the centre of Appleton Thorn. Head along Lumb Brook Road from the Thorn Inn in Appleton Thorn and the car park entrance is about 400 yards along on the right.

COVID-19 Conditions:

  • Enter the pitches via area shown by the blue line and arrows and leave the pitches via the area shown by the red lines and arrows.
  • Please read the club venue rules should which are displayed to spectators on both sides of the pitch.
  • Slightly more times than normal will be allocated between matches to assist in reducing crossover.

Parking Resrictions: Parking is limited on the site. Please car share wherever possible to reduce the number of cars on site. You can park in the village, either at the pub or the village hall, and it is a short walk to the field. Please take care on the road and remember that children are under your responsibility when not on the pitch. Any parking on the main road may be subject to parking enforcement action. Do not park across any residents driveways. Your cooperation is appreciated with this.

Broomfields 3G

Broomfields 3G

Directions: The 3G pitch is behind Broomfields Leisure Centre in Stockton Heath. Turn into Broomfields Road from London Road, just south of Stockton Heath. Go past Bridgewater School and the turning to the Leisure Centre is on the right as the road bends to the left. Parking should only be in the marked bay parking spaces on either side of the Leisure Centre.

3G Pitch Rules:

  • The pitch is a modern 3G pitch, built in 2020, specified to FIFA standard, and therefore appropriate footwear must be worn. Football boots with studs are recommended. Boots with blades are not permitted and NO normal (flat soled) trainers.
  • No warming up on the school grass pitches before your allocated match.
  • Boots should be clean before accessing the pitch.
  • Spectators should not access the pitch and should stay in the spectator area or watch through the fence if preferred.
  • Please make sure you start on time, finish on time and exit as soon as possible once the game has finished. There will likely be a game on after and there is a fixed length booking for the pitch.
  • For players and coaches: If playing on pitch 1, 2 or A then please enter and leave the pitch via Gate A; if playing on pitch 3, 4 or B please enter and leave the pitch via Gate B.

COVID-19 Conditions:

  • No entry into the 3G pitch facility is permitted until people using the pitches before you have vacated the main gates, use the one-way system shown outside the main gates.
  • Due to the limited capacity of the spectator area, there is a rule of 1 parent per child in attendance.
  • Gates should be closed but not locked while games are in progress and then opened for egress.
  • Please read the club venue rules should which are displayed to spectators on both sides of the pitch.
  • Slightly more times than normal will be allocated between matches to assist in reducing crossover.

Parking Restrictions: Please park in the marked bay parking spaces on either side of the leisure centre. Overflow parking is in the school next door.

Sandymoor 3G

Sandymoor 3G

Directions: The 3G pitch is located at Sandymoor Ormiston Academy.

3G Pitch Rules:

  • The pitch is a modern 3G pitch, built in 2019, specified to FIFA standard, and therefore appropriate footwear must be worn. Football boots with studs are recommended, and astroturf trainers are also allowed. Boots with blades are not permitted and NO normal (flat soled) trainers.
  • Please report to the reception desk upon arrival.
  • Please make sure you start on time, finish on time and exit as soon as possible once the game has finished. There will likely be a game on after and there is a fixed length booking for the pitch.
  • No warming up on the grass pitches before your allocated match/training session.
  • Please make sure you start on time, finish on time and exit immediately the game or training session has finished.

COVID-19 Conditions:

  • ONLY 6 spectators per team are permitted in the 3G viewing area (on the side by the tennis courts) ALL other parents must wait in their cars. Watching from grass pitch or the netball court is NOT permitted. This will be monitored by onsite staff and failure to adhere to this could risk the club losing the use of the facility.
  • No entry into the 3G pitch facility is permitted until people using the pitches before you have vacated the pitch and are in the car park. Please wait near the reception door and apply 2m social distancing.
  • For entry follow the route shown by the blue line on the picture below and when exiting please follow the route shown by the red line on the picture below (please note line markings are not painted or shown at the actual venue).
