U8's enjoyed a recent football tournament

On a gloriously warm and sunny day in May we entered two Under 8s teams from Appleton in the Ashton Athletic Football tournament.

As with all fixtures at this age, this was a non-competitive format but that certainly did not lower the excitement nor curtail the commitment of the boys and girls, with all teams playing their part in a great tournament and many close matches.

Players, coaches and parents alike had a very enjoyable day, all players were presented with medals and one of our teams came away with the Under 8s team of the day trophy.
